English remains in India as popular language. We accept it a window language. It comes for the British as they ruled India for 300 years. They do this as popular language all over the world. It is an age of Science and Technology; we shall lag behind if we remain ignorant of developments in other countries. English is the only language which is wide spread all over the world. Instruction in Science and Technology is almost impossible without English. It is observed that school students find it difficult to follow their teachers in colleges when the medium of instruction is English. To provide our your mass an opportunity to gain wider knowledge in technology, science, medicine and mass communication, English should be made compulsory in schools.
