UKG is Upper Kindergarten. The duration of UKG is 1 year. The children spend around 3-4 hours in UKG in a day and are engaged in learning activities, a wide range of lessons, and recreational activities. There are three years of elementary education in accordance with the education system in India. These three years are Nursery, LKG (Lower Kindergarten), and UKG (Upper Kindergarten). This elementary education is very important for children as it helps them to build a strong foundation of education and makes them more comfortable for the primary education. Upper Kindergarten contains the sessions of playing, writing, painting, singing, music etc.
